Spending the Budget

All schools receive funding from the local authority, called SEND Notional funding, which should be used to support students who have special educational needs. At Edmondsley Primary Academy we use our professional judgement to ensure that the funding is distributed to have the greatest impact on our SEND students. We regularly review this to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. This information is shared with our strategic lead at ALP.
We strive to ensure equity, transparency and clarity within the Academy for the money spent on all learners and their needs. If a student at the SEND Support level needs provision which exceeds £6000, top up funding will be applied for. Their budget will be costed out and banded by county at an appropriate level for their learning needs. This banding level also applies for children with an EHCP.
